Disney Believe Revealed as Name of Fourth Wish-Class Ship for Disney Cruise Line

Disney didn’t waste any time giving Josh D’Amaro a headline.

During The Walt Disney Company’s annual shareholder meeting on March 18, 2026, the company announced the name of the next Disney Cruise Line ship: Disney Believe. It will be the fourth ship in the Wish class, following the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny.

The Disney Believe Sets Sail in Late 2027

Promise + Possibilities

The Wish class has never really been subtle. These ships are less about classic nautical elegance and more about wrapping the entire onboard experience around a central story thesis. Every ship has its own narrative lane, and Believe sounds like the next evolution of that formula: not just wishing for something, but choosing to trust that it’s out there. A little more conviction. A little more heart. A little less “when you wish upon a star,” and a little more “go do the thing.” That feels very Disney in 2026.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT…

The Disney Adventure recently sailed its Maiden Voyage from Singapore. The Adventure is the biggest Disney Cruise Line Ship and features a very different layout including 6 Rotational Dining Restaurants and 3 Disney Parks-style attractions. But is it worth a trip half-way around the world?

Disney also says the Disney Believe will continue the Wish-class template of surrounding guests with stories from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, and Star Wars from the moment they step onboard.

If the Wish was built around enchantment, the Treasure around adventure, and the Destiny around heroes and villains, then Believe feels like the most overtly emotional name in the lineup so far. According to Disney, the ship’s guiding motif will be “promise and possibilities,” with storytelling inspired by characters who believe in themselves and chase something bigger. Disney specifically pointed to worlds and stories like Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, and The Little Mermaid as part of that creative direction.

Maiden Voyage in Late 2027

As for timing, Disney says the ship is expected to debut in late 2027. This suggests the booking window might open up sometime in Summer 2026. We should be able to decipher more clues on timing when we learn more about the Disney Cruise Line updates at D23 this year.

For Disney Cruise Line fans, this is a small announcement with big implications. Naming matters. Theme matters. And with the fleet continuing to grow after Disney announced plans in 2024 to add four more ships between 2027 and 2031, this gives us our clearest first look yet at what one of those next chapters will actually be called and brings the fleet just an inch closer to the 13 ships touted at the last D23 in Anaheim.

Am I Believer?

Disney Believe isn’t the boldest name Disney Cruise Line could have picked. It’s not risky. It’s not trying to reinvent the brand. But that’s the point. Believe does sound like a natural sibling to Wish, Treasure, and Destiny. As the fourth installment in a class of ships whose individual identities are unique amongst themselves yet formulaic, Disney Believe slides neatly into the existing philosophy. This tells me Disney is protecting the Wish-class brand architecture just as much as its sometimes awkward and mis-guided layout and omissions (e.g. Quiet Cove square footage).

To put it another way, Disney Believe wasn’t meant to surprise you. It was meant to feel inevitable and familiar. As the follow-up to the Disney Destiny however, Disney Believe has its work cut out for it in terms of immersive continuity, credibility and believability. But more on that later.

Alright, that’s all for now. See ya next time.
