Disney Believe Reveal Will Be Live Streamed by Disney Cruise Line on October 7, Here's How to Watch
Mark your calendar if you've been keeping tabs on the Disney Believe. Disney Cruise Line just announced a livestream reveal event for its newest ship, set for Wednesday, October 7 at 4:30 p.m. ET, and it sounds like there's a lot more still to learn about the vessel before it sets sail in late 2027.
What Disney Says Is Coming in the Reveal
The livestream is expected to cover the Disney Believe's homeport, itineraries, new venues, and entertainment offerings, all details that have been conspicuously missing since the ship's first reveal at D23 2026 back in August. That original announcement was mostly concept art and theming, a bronze Moana statue anchoring the Grand Hall, Woody and Buzz Lightyear worked into the stern in playful crayon style lettering, and Tinker Bell showing up in hand painted filigree on the bow. Fun to look at, but not exactly useful if you're trying to plan an actual trip.
This new event is where the planning relevant information should finally start to show up. A homeport announcement alone would answer one of the biggest open questions cruise fans have had since August, and itinerary details would let anyone hoping to sail on the Believe start thinking realistically about a 2027 booking.

Where and When to Watch
Disney says the reveal will stream live across its Disney Parks social channels, which covers YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok. October 7 at 4:30 p.m. ET works out to 1:30 p.m. Pacific, so plan around whichever platform you're most likely to actually catch it live on. If you can't watch live, it's usually worth checking back within a day or two, since reveal moments like this tend to get clipped and recirculated pretty quickly by fan accounts.
A Quick Refresher on What We Already Know
The Disney Believe is being built at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany, the same yard responsible for every Disney Cruise Line ship to date, including the Disney Wish, Disney Treasure, and Disney Destiny. Construction is well underway too with the first of the ship's three gigablocks floated out back on September 18, which is a real milestone even if it doesn't tell you anything about where you'll actually be able to sail.
During Disney’s annual shareholders meeting earlier this year, then newly installed CEO Josh D’Amaro announced the name of the 4th Wish-class ship. Along with the name announcement, Disney Cruise Line released a teaser of what characters or IP guests might encounter on the ship.
That tease was brought into a little more focus at the D23 Disney Experiences Showcase in August. Claire Weiss, Portfolio Executive Creative Director for Disney Cruise Line. took to the stage at Honda Center alongside host Neil Patrick Harris to introduce three key components of the Disney Believe.

First, it was revealed that Tinker Bell will adorn the bow of the Disney Believe. Hand-painted filigree of Tinker Bell as she first appeared in the 1953 classic "Peter Pan," flanked by silhouettes of Peter, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters from the film will set the Disney Believe to see with a little bit of pixie dust.

Next, we got the first glimpse of the artwork and figures designed for the stern of the Disney Believe. Buzz Lightyear and Woody will work together to "write" the ship's name with oversized yellow crayons on the Stern of the Disney Believe. These two iconic Pixar characters and beloved friends will be installed later in the construction process.
The stern characters really help identify each Disney ship and give them each their own character (get it?). Woody & Buzz join Rapunzel & Pascal on the Disney Wish, Peter Pan & Captain Hook on the Disney Treasure, and Spider-Man & Spider-Bots on the Disney Destiny.
The biggest question left to answer during D23 was the mystery surrounding the Grand Hall statue. Each Wish class ship makes a strong statement about the overall theme of the ship with their Grand Hall statues and the Disney Believe was to be no different.

The centerpiece of the Disney Wish is Cinderella. Aladdin & Jasmine embody the sense of exploration and adventure as the central figures in the Disney Treasure Grand Hall. And, King T’Challa a.k.a. Black Panther stands strong in the Wakanda themed Grand Hall of the Disney Destiny.
Following the core Disney values of “belief in magic, belief in family, the power of nature, and belief in yourself”, Claire Weiss went on to unveiled that Moana will grace the Grand Hall of the Disney Believe. Together with Pua and Heihei, Moana, holding her paddle, will soon be showing up in family pictures after the Maiden Voyage. Honda Center went nuts over this news and concept art and I can’t wait to add a Moana statuette to our collection when we finally get to sail on the Disney Believe in 2027.
Onboard entertainment is expected to pull from Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, and The Little Mermaid, so the character and story lineup already spans generations of Disney animation.

What This Means for Your 2027 Cruise Plans
If you've been holding off on getting excited about the Disney Believe until it felt like a real, bookable trip, October 7 is the date to watch. A confirmed homeport and itinerary region would be the first genuinely actionable information Disney has released on this ship, and it's the kind of news that will kick off a wave of speculation about pricing and booking windows soon after.
Disney Cruise Line's current homeports include spots like Port Canaveral, Fort Lauderdale, San Diego, and New York, among others, and past ship debuts have occasionally opened up a brand new port rather than slotting into an existing rotation. It’s expected, however, that the Disney Believe may call Fort Lauderdale home at least for her inaugural season.
Whether the Believe actually ends up there or surprises us is exactly the kind of question this reveal should finally settle, so it's worth setting a reminder for this one rather than waiting to hear about it secondhand a few days later. What a time to be alive!
