Every Disney Believe Stateroom Category Explained + Concierge and Believe Tower Suite Revealed

Booking for the Disney Believe opens Monday for Pearl Castaway Club members, which means a lot of you are about to stare at a stateroom list and wonder what the difference is between a Deluxe Family Oceanview and a Concierge Family Oceanview with Verandah.

Papercut Art Comes To Staterooms With Character

Staterooms Disney Believe get all-new papercut-style artwork. Disney says the rooms are inspired by Moana, Coco and Inside Out. Disney has shown off many a stateroom rendering featuring Moana, with a big layered island scene over the bed and a second Moana panel on the wall in the Inside staterooms.

The Walt Disney Imagineering Instagram account took a more practical approach to showing off the new art style for the stateroom headboards. In a post called Artistry Behind the Art, Disney Live Entertainment Cast Members are shown construction the art pieces that would become the headboard art out of actual hand-cut construction paper. Just like you or your child might have done in Kindergarten. It’s pretty incredible. I’ve embedded the video below if you haven’t seen it.

Inside Stateroom on Disney Believe | Disney Cruise Line

Standard Stateroom Category Break Down

Inside Stateroom: 169 square feet, sleeps 3 to 4, with a queen bed, a single sofa bed and a single that pulls down from the ceiling for a fourth guest. Disney's pitch is that its "Standard" is bigger than the same class of room on most other cruise ships. The other catch in this category is they feature just one bathroom space that shares the shower, sink, and toilet.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom on Disney Believe | Disney Cruise Line

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom: 181 to 363 square feet with one large porthole window. Same bed setup as Inside.

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom: 237 to 362 square feet, still with a porthole, plus a single wall pull-down bed so it sleeps five.

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah | Disney Cruise Line

Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah: 243 to 796 square feet including a private balcony. The top end of that range is a big outlier, so don't expect 796 square feet unless you're booking one of the unusual layouts.

Moana themed papercut art headboard can be found in staterooms on Decks 2, 6, and 7 | Disney Cruise Line

Deluxe Family Oceanview Stateroom with Verandah: 279 to 518 square feet with a balcony and a longer sitting area, and it sleeps five. The big takeaway for families is simple.

Staterooms that are branded as “Deluxe” all feature the split bathroom design. This design pairs a sink and toilet in one room and the shower and another sink in a second thus splitting the usual bathroom hardware in separate spaces. This make showering, using the restroom, and getting ready for dinner or bed a bit more convenient for families trying to do several things at once.

Also, if you're traveling as five-some, you’ll need a “Family” branded category. The regular Inside, Oceanview and Verandah rooms top out at four passengers.

Magic Kingdom Tower Suite | Disney Cruise Line

Concierge Family Oceanview Stateroom above the Bridge on Disney Believe | Disney Cruise Line

To Infinity and the Bridge

Here's my favorite stateroom surprise of the reveal. Toy Story lends Woody and Buzz to the stern, but it also gets some of the best rooms on the ship.

Alternate look at Concierge Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom above the Bridge on Disney Believe | Disney Cruise Line

The Concierge Family Oceanview staterooms are themed to the Toy Story films, and Disney says several special oceanview rooms with Toy Story theming sit directly above the Bridge. That's the same spot where the Disney Destiny put its Incredibles rooms. These rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows, a little extra space, and some unique views right from your room.

  • 357 to 525 square feet, sleeping 4 to 5

  • An oceanview window instead of a balcony

You give up a balcony, but you get more room than the Peter Pan concierge staterooms and one of the rarest spots on the ship.

Never Grow Up, Just Upgrade

The rest of Concierge goes to Neverland, which pairs nicely with Tinker Bell on the bow.

Concierge Family Oceanview with Verandah: Original Peter Pan artwork, 296 to 459 square feet including a private balcony, and room for up to five. The beds, the split bathroom and the starry ceiling are the same as the Toy Story rooms.

Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah on Disney Believe | Disney Cruise Line

Concierge 1-Bedroom Suite with Verandah: Up to 1,031 square feet including the balcony, sleeping five. You get a separate bedroom with a king bed and a walk-in closet, a living room, beds for three more (a single sofa bed and two pull-down singles), two full bathrooms (the main one has double sinks, a tub and a rain shower), and a wet bar stocked with water and sodas.

2-Story Royal Rose Suite Living Room | Disney Cruise Line

Be Our Royal Guest

The Royal Suites on Disney Believe come in two themes The Royal Rose Suite is themed to Beauty and the Beast. The Royal Reef Suite is themed to The Little Mermaid. They come in 1-story and 2-story variations

Both have an open dining salon, a pantry and wet bar, a private whirlpool hot tub on the balcony, and a walk-in closet in each main bedroom. The difference is the layout. The 2-story version adds a spiral staircase up to a private main bedroom with its own big bathroom and a freestanding tub.

So yes, Ariel got the piano bar AND a suite.

Believe Tower Suite Living Room | Disney Cruise Line

The Most Magical Tower Suite on Earth

The Believe Tower Suite sits in the ship's forward funnel, and it's themed to Magic Kingdom. At first, the idea of theming a space on a Cruise Ship to a theme park instead of an individual franchise or character seemed odd.

Primary Bedroom in the Believe Tower Suite | Disney Cruise Line

The idea is growing on me though. The EPCOT-inspired Treasure Tower Suite set the standard. There’s many a die hard EPCOT Center fan that would do unspeakable things for an over night stay in the swanky digs of a retro-modern Experimental Prototype [Cabin] of Tomorrow.

Big Thunder Mountain Reading Room in the Believe Tower Suite | Disney Cruise Line

The Magic Kingdom-inspired Believe Tower Suite fits the bill of this ship overarching narrative quite well. There’s no place on earth, save for Disneyland, that embodies the spirit of believing more than Magic Kingdom. The subtle nods to the park are quite tastful and im sure would suit me very well. Feel free to book this one for me.
