Disney | Bobby Kim Collection 2: Baddies - A Villains Coup and Donald Duck Gets His Horns Back

Back in August, the Disney | Bobby Kim line made its debut with a run of vintage inspired tees built around the idea that a Disney shirt should feel like something you dig out of a thrift store, not something off a mall rack. That first wave, Collection 1, Classics, sold out fast.

From Vintage Nostalgia to Full Villain Mode

Now the same ongoing collaboration between Disney Store and Bobby Kim, Disney's VP and Global Creative Director, is back with a second drop, and this time it skips the nostalgia angle entirely in favor of something darker. Collection 2 is called Baddies, and it is built entirely around Disney villains.

The first collection leaned on Kim's eye for archival streetwear, the kind of faded, lived in graphic tee a collector would frame rather than wear to the gym. Baddies keeps that same all cotton, collectible first approach, but swaps the warm nostalgia of Oliver & Company and Lady and the Tramp for Maleficent, Jafar, and a jack-o-lantern the size of a dinner table.

It is still the same underlying pitch, a Disney shirt worth keeping, just filtered through a much more mischievous lineup of characters this time around.

Every Shirt in Collection 2, Baddies

The new drop includes eight designs. There is a group shirt built around Maleficent and Cruella de Vil, a Gothic, vintage styled tee pulling from Gargoyles, and a Halloweentown shirt centered on an oversized jack-o-lantern.

A Skeleton Mickey design leans straight into the season, while Magica De Spell gets her own shirt pulled from a classic Disney comic cover, which is a genuinely deep cut for a mainstream Disney Store drop. Mickey wearing a hoodie always amuses me and I’m aiming to grab this one before it sells out.

Jafar shows up in an all over red and black print, and Vanessa from The Little Mermaid appears in her ballgown disguise rather than the more obvious sea witch look.

But the shirt I’m most excited for is a Donald Duck design pulled from the 1930s short Donald's Better Self, showing both his angel and devil sides, which is exactly the kind of obscure archival pull that made the first collection work in the first place.

Even though I was at D23 in August I still missed out on the Sorcerer’s Apprentice tee and im still not over it. That same shirt is selling for over $300 on resell sites like Stock X.

When It Drops and How to Shop

Collection 2, Baddies goes live on DisneyStore.com on October 15 at 6 p.m. PT. As with the first drop, no pricing has been published yet, so keep an eye on the product pages once they go live rather than trying to guess ahead of time. Given how quickly the Sorcerer's Apprentice shirt moved in August, expect the Magica De Spell and Donald Duck designs in particular to move fast once the clock hits 6pm.

Plot Your Villainous Shopping Spree

If Collection 1 was about Disney nostalgia as a keepsake, Collection 2 is about giving the villains the same collector's treatment the heroes usually get, and that is honestly the more interesting half of this whole line.

My plan for the 15th is to be online a few minutes early and have the Magica De Spell design queued up first, since a design pulled from a vintage comic cover is exactly the kind of piece that will not get restocked if it sells through. If you are debating between a couple of these, the Donald Duck shirt is the one with the best story behind it, so that is where I would start if nothing else is calling your name yet.

Alright, that’s all for now. See ya next time.
