August 15, 2026: The Name and the Grand Hall

Disney officially introduced the Disney Believe at the Horizons: D23 Disney Experiences Showcase. She added that "all the stories we tell onboard will be tied together by the core Disney notion of believing in something fantastical."

The first details that came with it…

THE GRAND HALL is themed to Moana, with a bronze statue of Moana, Pua, and Heihei, a South Pacific setting, and Polynesian artisan finishes.

THE BOW gets a hand-painted Tinker Bell filigree surrounded by silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook, and more from the 1953 film.

THE STERN has Woody and Buzz Lightyear "writing" the ship's name with giant yellow crayons in Toy Story's block-style font. Disney also said the ship's venues and entertainment will be shaped by stories including Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana, and The Little Mermaid. Keep those five in mind today.

I put my own guesses on the record for every themed space, and built a tool so you can do the same. Pick a film for each space, share your card, and it scores itself after the reveal. It has picked up a few updates since launch, including a home port pick, the kids club entrance, and lock-in time stamps so nobody can sneak in a perfect score after the fact. 👀

Keel coin of the Disney Believe featuring Tinker Bell | Disney Cruise Line

October 5, 2026: Keel Laying and the Hull Number Hunt

Two milestones landed the same day. First, the keel laying ceremony. A custom coin featuring Tinker Bell was welded to the keel block for good luck, a shipbuilding tradition that goes back centuries.

Second, Disney sent content creators and media on a scavenger hunt aboard the Disney Wish to tease the new ship. The first group puzzle revealed the Believe's hull number, 723, assigned by Meyer Werft. Imagineers like to hide hull numbers in the ship's design as a nod to its maritime roots, so start looking for 723 once the Believe sails.

Clues, riddles, and games like this one were part of a scavenger hunt to decode what Disney Believe had in store | Disney Parks Blog

The rest of the clues were fun to dig through. Porthole puzzles about emotions, Disney characters, and dreamers each unlocked a food or drink coming to the ship, with nods to The Little Mermaid and Snow White along the way. Day two leaned on Frozen, including Arendelle and Oaken's Trading Post, plus Zootopia character encounters and trivia covering Encanto, Moana, Toy Story, and Peter Pan.

Take that as a hint, not a confirmation, but Oaken's Trading Post showing up in a clue made my Frozen piano bar pick feel a lot better. *wink

October 7, 2026: The Reveal

Today at 1:30pm PT / 4:30pm ET on the Disney Parks YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and TikTok channels. This is where we find out where the Disney Believe sails from, where it goes, and what's actually behind every one of those teaser films.

LIVESTREAM: Disney Believe Reveal Will Be Live Streamed by Disney Cruise Line on October 7, Here's How to Watch

What We're Watching For Today

HOME PORT: Fort Lauderdale is the popular rumor, and the timing lines up. The Disney Destiny moves from Fort Lauderdale to Port Canaveral in November 2027.

VENUES: Which of the 16 teaser films land where, and whether those five named stories (Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana, and The Little Mermaid) get the biggest spaces.

WORLDS OF MARVEL: It's been on every Wish-class ship so far. Does it stay?

BOOKING DATES: When can we actually book this thing?

Ultimately these are my 4 biggest questions that need answers. The most important being, when? When can I book and when can I sail? Our scheduled has tightened up around here so I’m hoping for a Maiden Voyage that falls sometime in the few weeks my wife has off right around Christmas. This will probably break the bank but whatever.

Alright, that’s all for now. See ya next time.
